MONTHLY FEE
The standard monthly fee is £49.50. A one off set up fee of £195 applies for all new Business Websites. VAT is chargeable on all fees at the standard rate. Fees will be collected by Direct Debit.
ENDING YOUR AGREEMENT
Should you wish to end your Business Website agreement, you will need to provide us with 28 days written notice. Any payments due during this period will be collected as normal.
WEBSITE BUILD TIME
We aim to have your Business Website live on the internet within 21 days from the date we collect your set up fee and first month’s payment. If you need it sooner, please let us know and we will do our best to help you.
DOMAIN NAMES
We will offer you a selection of Domain Names for you to choose one from. If you would like additional domain names we can arrange this for you.The Domain name will remain under the ownership of Step Internet. If you wish to use a domain name that you already own, we will need to redirect it to our hosting.
WRITING THE CONTENT
Our Web Writer will write the content for the core pages of your website following a telephone consultation with you to find out about your business and target customers. Additional content will need to be written by yourself, however you can engage our Web Writer to write further content, though we may need to charge you a fee.
HOSTING YOUR BUSINESS WEBSITE
We offer free unlimited Web hosting on our secure servers. If you currently have a hosting provider, we will need to transfer it to our hosting platform in order for us to fulfil our technical support and maintenance duties efficiently. Don’t worry, you won’t incur any costs to transfer to us.
MAKING CHANGES TO YOUR BUSINESS WEBSITE
If you would like to make any text changes to your Business Website, please call our freephone number or email us and we will implement the changes within 24 hours. For image changes, please send in either JPEG, .EPS, TIFF, BIT MAP, GIF format and we will purpose them on your site within 48 hours.
To alter design aspects of your Business Website, such as the navigation bar, layout of the page, adding new features etc, there may be a cost to you due to the complex nature of the changes.Please contact us in the first instance.
FAIR USEAGE
We try to maintain a fair policy regarding the number of changes you can request to your site. Only if we feel that the amount you are requesting is likely to have a detrimental effect on the quality of service we offer you and our other customers, we may need to put a monthly restriction on it.
COMPLIANCE TESTING
Before we launch your Business Website, we will conduct industry standard compliance testing on it including cross-browser testing and W3C testing. Thereafter, should any bugs be found on your site, we will rectify the situation within 24 hours.
